Well... this came up between me and Jessy on the way home.. ok.. so here you are in the present.. but in 50 years there is the possibility of time travel.. so you in the future decide to travel back in time to the year 2006...

A. When you travel back in time you are able to talk to the former you in 2006, and are able to help him/her or..

B. When you travel back.. there is no past you.. because you are already in the future and going back in time you will be the age of 2006+50 years and there fore you are the same age in the year 2006 as you are in 2056..

I personally think that it is A because if you DO travel back in time you should come across the events that have lead you on the path to where you are currently.. and if you change that path then you change your self and other things.. and that brings me to another problem..

say that in the future they DO discover time travel.. wouldn't we already know since they would have traveled back in time by now..? Jessy's arguement is that we don't know because we have not gotten there yet.. but theoretically can't we just be living one peice of an endless cylce of peices that age..?

which brings me to another point.. if there IS time travel in the future.. then how do we know that the past that we are studying now has not been altered an infinite amount of times to be best suit..? Just things to ponder on...
